Position Summary:

The mission of Kehillah, the JCC Special Needs Program, is to provide quality recreational, social, and enrichment programs for children, teens, and adults with special needs. Instructor Positions available:
Cooking/Baking Instructor - program located at Tate Behavioral, across from our JCC (we will be using a gas stove/oven for cooking)
Other - dance, music - or is there an interest that you may have that meets our participants' needs? We are looking for innovative ideas as well to be hosted here at our JCC!
Essential Functions:
Provide specific instruction to a group of individuals with different abilities that builds social skills, personal safety, as well as specific program skills
Adapt instruction to the meet the needs of each individual to ensure success
Communicate regularly with participants, caregivers, and supervisor
Have fun with our participants!
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Experience and training in working with individuals with different abilities
Have great written and oral skills
Have great conflict resolution and problem solving skills
Successful background check and fingerprinting required
Specialized knowledge, licenses, etc.:
Previous related experience preferred
Must have experience working with individuals with different abilities
CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (will will provide training if needed)
Working Conditions:
Some Kehillah classes are taught off-site, outside, and/or within our indoor facility.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform program tasks with participants
Pay Range:
$17.00 - $25.00/hour (preparation time also part of compensation)
