Fitness Center Pickleball Court Attendant

We are looking for motivated and energetic fitness professionals to join our team.  This is a part time position with weekend availability required - Saturday and Sunday hours of operation are 7-5.  Shifts Needed Are: Saturdays & Sundays 8-2pm, 2pm-8pm  Weeknight backup M-F 5pm-9pm.

This position has a pay range commensurate with education and experience of $15-18 per hour. 

All employees of the Springfield JCC are responsible for creating relationships with the members, to add value to their membership, and to enhance their sense of belonging with the JCC community.

The Fitness Center/Pickleball Court Attendant supports a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable workout experience for all members and guests. This individual provides excellent customer service and ensures the overall safety, upkeep, and cleanliness of the JCC Fitness Center & pickleball courts. This position ensures a welcoming, organized, and safe environment for members and guests by managing check-in procedures, collecting applicable fees, and providing excellent customer service.

  • Knowledge of of standard practices in gyms and fitness centers

  • Ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • High school diploma required. Wellness and recreation experience preferred.  

  • Must hold current CPR/AED and First Aid certification - we will provide

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with members and guests

  • Comfortable handling basic transactions

  • Ability work independently, follow procedures and remain organized

  • Interest in pickleball, recreation, or community programming is beneficial
